Egnatia Aviation ATO and Egnatia Aviation Lydia Aerodrome Emergency Drill

An emergency drill was conducted on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, by Egnatia Aviation ATO and Egnatia Aviation Lydia Aerodrome as part of ongoing efforts to enhance emergency preparedness and operational coordination.

The purpose of the drill was to validate the effectiveness of the Emergency Response Plan in handling various types of emergencies. The exercise focused on assessing interdepartmental coordination between the Aerodrome and ATO units, as well as evaluating the response procedures based on a simulated aircraft incident scenario.

The activation of the Crash Alarm during morning operations marked the beginning of the drill, which engaged key departments including RFFS, DAO, ATRO, and ERT personnel. All actions were executed according to plan, confirming both the readiness and the effectiveness of the response teams.
